The G.B. Bietti Foundation for the Study and Research in Ophthalmology is a non-profit-making, private institution, founded in 1984 and legally recognized by the President of the Republic.
Statutory objectives of the Foundation are the promotion of research, study and assistance activities in the ophthalmologic field, with particular attention being posed towards scientific diffusion, prevention, early diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation.
The professional formation and the study of the management of Health Structures further represent central aims of the research activities of the Foundation.
The assets of the G. B. Bietti Foundation, which support its research, assistance and educational activities, derive from contributions given by its Founding Associates, in addition to free donations from private and public institutions.
The G.B.Bietti Foundation, with head office in Via Livenza 3, Rome, has been recognized as an "Institution for Hospitalization and Care with Scientific Characteristics" (IRCCS, Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico) in the field of Ophthalmology, with a decree of the 15th February 2005 signed by the Minister of Health Sirchia (Official Gazette n. 50 of the 2nd of March, 2005). |
