With your contribution, many patients affected by diseases of the visual system could benefit from our research.

Many pathologies of the cornea, retina and optic nerve can cause severe visual defects, leading to complete blindness. These pathologies do not spare any age and are present in the adult, just as in the child.

The research of the IRCCS G.B. Bietti Foundation for the Study and Research in Ophthalmology is directed towards visual disabilities of every form, with the aim of identifying instruments for the early diagnosis, and innovative therapies.

The choice of assigning the 5 per thousand to research is not an alternative to the 8 per thousand (destined towards religious confessions), and is of no cost to the taxpayer. It is part of the taxes which the State renounces in order to direct it towards scientific research.
